BOTANY
Botany could also be a discipline of Biology which deals with study of plants. Department of Botany at S B R College is dedicated to teaching and research altogether fields of plant biology. The department has well-equipped laboratories like biology and tissue culture lab, a museum (which hosts plant specimens) and a arboretum . The course structure complements conventional branches of plant sciences with modern biology and comprises of classroom lectures, laboratory practicals and field studies.
Over the years, Botany Department has maintained high academic standards and has produced many University Toppers. The department features a lively Botanical society, which organizes events like lectures by eminent scientists, workshops, institutional and industrial visits, paper presentation, collage making, salad making, quiz etc.
